Cacao aka Chocolate Lowers Risk Of Heart Disease

In a recent study and statistics, one person in every 34 seconds dies of heart disease in America. In the Philippines, one person in every 7 minutes dies of the same complication. The complication is either caused by congenital complication or lifestyle. No one knows when a heart complication attacks.

There are many ways and remedies to prevent cardiovascular diseases. Aside from taking maintenance such as medicine and daily dose of exercise, heart diseases can now be prevented by drinking (raw) chocolate or cocoa stored in your fridge.

Health Warning On Cooking Oil

Scientists in the United States of America have already proposed banning of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO)—or Genetically Engineered Organism—that is produced for human consumption. This proposal was issued for the sole purpose of ensuring the safety of consumers at stake.

The United States Department of Agriculture has ignored claims of the foremost scientists in the country about the proper labeling of potentially hazardous Genetically Modifed (GM) foods in all food packaging.

So, what would be the effect of genetically modified foods to our body after ingestion?
In a previous experimentation conducted by scientists in animals, kidney and liver problems became prevalent.

GM or genetically modified food is also linked to Trans Fat that causes cancer and heart diseases. Although some scientists remain ambivalent about the good and bad effect of trans fat in our body.

Leading Scientists claimed that these genetically engineered foods are not really for human consumption thence be regulated or discarded as soon as possible.

Even the United States Government is mum about this recent scientific study of the disadvantages of the production of cheaper GM foods available in the market.

The subject of the scientists has posed alarm most especially now that it involves cooking oil—the common medium or ingredients for making food and dishes.

Now, canola becomes the subject of some thread in the net. So, how healthy is canola cooking oil?

Canola Oil
Prior to naming it as canola or canola oil, it was previously known as LEAR or Low Erucic Acid Rapeseed and Rape oil. However, for marketing sake, they changed it to canola.

Canola is the marketing abbreviation for Canadian Oil Low Acid. It is made from the altered rape seeds of the rape plant (family of mustard) ---contrary to the belief that it naturally comes from unaltered canola.

Traditionally, altered rapeseed or canola is commonly used in industrial production of biofuel, candles, lipsticks, lubricant, etc. and not purposely intended for human consumption.

Rapeseed Of Rape Plant: Origin Of Canola
Due to the demand of cooking oil in the market and seamless study, genetically modified or altered rapeseeds are now used as an edible byproduct for cooking that yield cooking oil. Thus, side effects in human such as lung cancer, loss of vision, anemia, heart disease and cancer and brain disruption can be expected and experienced.

Other common foods that we always consume but are now genetically engineered, as follows: aspartame, canola oil, milk, soy, corn, potatoes, rice, papaya and tomatoes. So, we are now at troubled waters on how to get rid of disguised GMO in our food today.

So to avoid this potential harm in your diet, it is therefore advisable to plant vegetable or fruits in your own backyard or be a keen observer when choosing foods available in the market today.

Please be forewarned by the health risks these genetically modified foods may cause you.
